Tragic Mass Shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia: Four Dead, Several Injured

A mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, left four people dead and nine others injured on Wednesday. The suspected shooter, a 14-year-old student named Colt Gray, is in custody and will be charged with murder, to be tried as an adult.

Among the victims, two were identified as 14-year-old students, Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, while the two adults were math teachers, Richard Aspinwall, who also served as an assistant football coach, and Christina Irimie. The injured include eight students and one teacher, all of whom are expected to recover.

Colt Gray had previously been questioned by law enforcement last year regarding anonymous tips about potential threats but was not arrested due to a lack of probable cause at that time.

This tragic incident has left the school and community reeling, as investigations continue into the events leading up to the attack.
